There are 3 main stainless steels we offer in Boise — 303 stainless steel, 304 stainless steel, and 316 stainless steel marine grade.
ASTM A276-10 Stainless Steel 304 is the most common of stainless steels for sale, available in strips, flat stock, round rod, square bar, rectangle bar, or flat bar stainless, including stainless tubing, sheets, angles, hex bar, and channels.

304 Stainless Steel is ideal for drilling, machining, sawing, and welding with proper equipment.

303 Stainless Steel is difficult to weld, but it can be drilled and easily machined using proper cutting tools.
This cold drawn 303 Stainless Steel is specifically designed for greater machining.
Known as marine grade stainless steel due to it's high corrosion resistance compared to 304. At our Boise stainless steel center we sell 316 Stainless Steel round bar only.
316 Stainless Steel can be welded, cut, and drilled with proper cutting tools. Challenging to machine and bend.
Used where high corrosion protection is needed, such as exposure to chemicals, toxins, acid, or salt water marine environments.
